Our students are high academic performers, but come from low income families, thus missing many of the basic advantages available to other students. Take Stock attempts to fill those gaps. Mentors are an invaluable element of the Take Stock program. They meet with their students once each week at school, serving as role models, helping develop educational and professional goals, providing a stable, caring presence. If you may be interested in working with one of these fine young men, please contact Marsha Lewis at 255-6475 x50724 or mnlewis@volusia.k12.fl.us for more information about Take Stock in Children and their exceptional students.
